Other Adult Education at FCC

For everyone…wherever you are on life’s journey.

Whether you are a college student, single, a parent of small children, or a lifelong member, we have something for you. At FCC there are numerous opportunities to get connected with other adults, whether in your same stage of life, or with shared interests.  Below are just a few of the offerings at FCC. If you would like to learn of other faith formation groups, please contact Candace Datz (candace@fcucc.org). If you are interested in finding out about the various fellowship groups we have to offer, please contact Pastor Jacque Franklin (jacque@fcucc.org).

  • Bible Nerds

Everyone is welcome to meet in the Gregg Library to “wrestle with God!” As a framework for discussion, we are using the lectionary-based curriculum, “Feasting on the Word”. You don’t have to be a scholar to participate (though scholars are welcome), since we are focusing on what the Scriptures say to us here and now. Our work is helping us bring a richer, fuller understanding to Sunday worship as we explore the passages for each week. Anyone can volunteer to lead the discussion—for our purposes, curiosity, open-mindedness and a sense of humor are more important than academic background.

Come with your knowledge, your doubts, your wisdom, your willingness to share, and your favorite translation and join us!

Time: Every Wednesday, 9:30 am-11:00 am.

    Location: Gregg Library

Contact: Kathy Beck (264-9105), Jeanie Tate (475-9075) or Karol Finch (266-9312) for more information.

  • WHAT WOULD JESUS BREW?

Join this radical group of people for drinking and discussion without dogmatic assertions of knowledge, damnation of others, or judgment.

You are invited to join the group for Bible Study of the Revised Common Lectionary.

    Time: Every Tuesday, 6:30 pm

Location: The Wild Goose Meeting House, N. Tejon
