PRIDEFEST
Sunday, July 17, 2011
The event festivities took take place in Acacia Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 17. The parade began at noon, and the ONA Committee organized with the Children and Youth of Families a group from FCUCC  who will  marched in the parade.

TRANSGENDER REMEMBRANCE

Guest preacher, Rev. Malcolm Himschoot, offered a Reign of Christ sermon on the occasion of
TransgenderRemembrance Day, November 20, 2009. The scripture text  Mark 4:35-41.Malcolm's sermon was titled "To Risk Life and Limb."
At 12:30 p.m., the film "Call Me Malcolm," a documentary of Rev. Malcolm's life was shown in the Dwelling Place, followed by a discussion.

First Congregational Church participated in the celebration of the 2009 Colorado Springs PrideFest parade by marching down Tejon Street to Acacia Park.  Over 150 members and "gay friendly" friends of FCUCC
joined in the event.
