Nursery Care Sundays from 8:45 until 12:30 for children up to age 3: Nursery Care is located downstairs from the Atrium. First Sunday of the month, attendants introduce children to Godly Play. Through the coming year we hope you witness an evolving Faith Formation ministry starting from Birth in this precious place. FCC events and meetings: Childcare is available in support of some FCC events and meetings. Sundays... Sunday School & Kids’ Community Time: is held each Sunday during both services, for children aged preschool to Grade 5. Please follow the “hat” after the Children’s message to gather as a Kid’s Community in room EF. Visiting children and their parents should join the parade & make a nametag. This time is designed to build a sense of belonging, continuity, ritual and sharing before being divided into age appropriate classes. Children’s Worship: held on first Sun of the month, based on “Godly Play”, for children preschool-Gr 1. Led by trained staff and supported by Grandparents it is a special time of ritual, prayer, snack, devotion. On these Sundays, we invite children older than Gr 1, to participate fully in communion services with family & friends.
Registration Forms & Nametags: Please update a registration form each year, so that we can best serve the needs of your child in a welcoming way. Click here for registration form. Or fill out a registration form at the Welcome Center. Name Tags: Once registration forms are submitted, welcoming name tags are made. They are coded for classes, create a sense of belonging and support teachers to create a safe & accountable environment. Parent Heart Tags: are handed to staff as parents collect their child. (Other people authorized on the registration form can be added to the heart tag.) If Tags are collected prior to the service, parents do not need to leave the service.

*During the winter session all 3rd graders are invited to attend a series of Bible exploration workshops. Each child will receive a personalized Bible. OWL Our Whole Lives - Faith & Sexuality: The next rotation for K/1 & 5/6 classes will be Spring 2013. JOYFUL NOISE CHOIR: For children grades 1-6. Learn about and enjoy music! No musical experience required, but a commitment is expected to attend weekly rehearsals on Tues 4:30-5:30 and to sing at the 9 am service first Sunday of each month. A Christian sanctuary inviting children to connect with themselves & God through yoga practice. With the guidance of sensitive instructors & the Holy Spirit, children are nurtured to discover a personal God. Jesus Christ told us to take on his “yoke” (Matthew 11, 28-30).Benefits also include self esteem, self awareness & self regulation skills. WWJD? Recommended for ages Gr1+. Sessions are aligned with parent opportunities to join the “Moving Word” or have coffee or do the weekly shopping.VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: In June, a fun summer week of exploration, creativity & adventure happens in a biblical context. Build community & leadership skills in an intergenerational and spiritual setting. Previous themes were “Camp Edge”, “Galactic Blast” and “Hometown Nazareth”.

The purpose of the Faith Formation Committee is to nurture the faith journeys of children and youth by teaching about the ministry of Jesus, exploring the stories of the Bible, encouraging service of others, creating community, and, guided by the Holy Spirit, walking in constant relationship with God and neighbor. The Faith Formation Committee meets monthly and comprises 6 reps for Youth Ministry and 6 reps for Children’s Ministry..Family Faith Formation happens as whole families get involved in sharing their faith, learning from and with each other. "JOYFUL NOISE"
The Joyful Noise Children’s Choir invites all interested singers in first through sixth grade to join our ranks. The choir rehearses once a week and sings for the 9 a.m. service the first Sunday of the month during the school year. No musical experience is required, just a willingness to commit to weekly rehearsals and have fun with music. Presently, the choir rehearses from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoons.
