REV. DR. JACQUE FRANKLIN, ASSOCIATE MINISTER
Born June 17, 1958 in Adams County, Ohio. Grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Tucson, AZ at age 12. Graduated from Catalina HS in Tucson. Graduated from University of AZ with a Fine Arts Degree and a minor in Agriculture. Worked as a horse groom for Ventura Farms in Thousand Oaks, CA. Wrote and published a children's book, "Where Do I Look, A Child's Search for the Grand Canyon" through Grand Canyon Publishers. Graduated from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, now known as Palmer Seminary, in '89 with an emphasis in Pastoral Care and Counseling. Ordained in the American Baptist Church to Pastoral Ministry in '90. Graduated from Eastern with a Doctorate in Ministry with an emphasis in Marriage and Family as Systems in 1997. Served FBC of Dayton Ohio as Pastor of Urban Outreach and Youth Ministry for 7 yrs. Served FBC of Colorado Springs for 4 yrs. Served as Chaplain for Village at Skyline Retirement Community for 5 yrs. Serving Pikes Peak Hospice as Chaplain for the last 3 yrs. Serving as Pastor of Visitation for First Congregational Church (UCC) since 6/'06. Married to Tom Francis and have two children, Joel Thomas Francis age 8, and Ellen Nicole Francis age 2. Other Interests and hobbies; Dogs, horses, yoga, cross-stitch, quilting, writing, reading, painting & hiking.
